Day 89 A thankfully short day

Monday 6 January

Pukerua Bay to Porirua

Start: 9.05am

Finish 12.30pm

Distance 13.5km

Total 1,650.5km (on the official trail, including the bits I'm going back to)

Elevation: Nada

Weather: Sunny with a cool breeze becoming windy.

Despite my rest day yesterday I'm still pretty tired so was pleased to have a short day today. I caught the train to Pukerua Bay, saving the 10km before this for tomorrow with Chontelle.

The trail today was pleasant enough, primarily running alongside the railway line and road, with views of the sea. Nothing noteworthy really, and I took almost no photos. The trail did take a very strange and completely unnecessary dog leg loop through a climbing adventure park in pine trees. I took the train from Porirua to Wellington Central to a hotel I had previously booked, and pretty much spent all the afternoon and evening getting the blog up to date and sorting photos. I want it all done so I can spend the next two days with Chontelle unencumbered.
